Vilniansk or Volnyansk (until 1935 - Sofiivka, until 1939 - Krasnoarmiysk, until 1966 - Chervonoarmiysk) is a city in Ukraine, the former center of the Vilniansky district, located in the northern part of the Zaporizhzhia region in the upper reaches of the Vilnianka River Lnyansk (until 1935 - Sofiyivka, until 1939 - Krasnoarmiyske, until 1966 - Chervonoarmiyske) is a city in Ukraine, the former center of the Vilnius district, located in the northern part of the Zaporizhzhia region in the upper reaches of the river Vilnian women. On the territory of the city there is a railway station of the same name (Synelnikove — Zaporizhzhia line), 18 km from the regional center — the city of Zaporizhzhia. Highway H15 of national importance Zaporizhzhia — Donetsk passes through the city. Until 1924, the village near the Sofiivka station, until 1935 - the village of Sofiivka, until 1939 - the village of Krasnoarmiysk, until 1966 - the village of Krasnoarmiysk, from 1966 - the city of Vilniansk. The village of Smorodyne is subordinate to the city council.
