JWB deployment

We have an open task to deploy AWB or JWB on Justapedia (PT #183827291). I noticed that you imported User:Just an editor/JWB.css and User:Just an editor/JWB.js/i18n.js but not the JWB script itself nor its help page. Why? What should we do to make it work? I think if we're going to rely on this tool, it should not be a user script, we should install it in the JP: namespace. There's also a list of authorized users, which we should place under the JP: namespace as well, and let only bureaucrats edit it. And finally we need a page to request permission. What do you think? Should we also deploy AWB, which would open another can of worms? I think JWB is good enough. — Werkmeister (talk) 07:57, 25 November 2022 (UTC)

Yes there are several pieces needed to configure JWB which shares some elements used by AWB such as the user list. I started working on this but haven't gotten around to finishing yet. We should have a separate list of authorized users here. It's in user space in Wikipedia but I suppose it can be ported to Justapedia: here. JWB is a lightweight version of AWB which works well for most basic uses. Just an editor (talk) 02:05, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
Do be aware that simply using JWB as a search and replace tool (any local text editor, especially the heavyweight such as Bbedit on your computer which can use regex) can also do this. However, do bear in mind that most of the meta pages are like the layers of an onion or a Russian doll. Just processing the visible page is only the tip of an iceberg. Many occurrencies of the word are links to other WP pages and there are many transclusions and templates (all the things in {{foo}}). — Aix (talk) 08:43, 13 January 2023 (UTC)
