The 2021–22 Boise State Broncos men's basketball team represented Boise State University during the 2021–22 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Broncos, led by 12th-year head coach Leon Rice, played their home games at ExtraMile Arena as members of the Mountain West Conference. They finished the season 27–8, 15–3 in Mountain West Play to finish as regular season champions. They defeated Nevada, Wyoming, and San Diego State to be champions of the Mountain West tournament. They received the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 8 seed in the West Region, where they lost in the first round to Memphis.
Previous season[edit]
In a season limited due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Broncos finished the 2020–21 season 19–9, 14–6 in Mountain West play to finish in fourth place.[1] They lost in the quarterfinals of the Mountain West tournament to Nevada.[2] The Broncos received an at-large bid of the National Invitation Tournament where they defeated SMU in the first round[3][4] before losing to eventual champion Memphis in the quarterfinals.[5][6]
