2021: Formation and debut with "Happy Death Day"

On November 1, JYP Entertainment released a teaser titled "Heroes Are Coming" hinting at a new group to debut.[2] A week later, on November 8, the logo and name of the group were revealed and the group's official social media accounts were launched.[3] Jooyeon was officially announced as the group's first member, followed by O.de, Gaon, Jun Han, Jungsu, and Gunil from November 15–20.[4] On November 22–27, teasers have been released revealing the positions of the members. Jooyeon was shown playing the bass, followed by O.de playing the synthesizer on the 23rd, Gaon playing the electric guitar on the 24th, Jun Han playing the electric guitar on the 25th, Jungsu on the keyboard on the 26th, and Gunil playing the drums on the 27th. It was revealed that two members initially trained to be in a K-pop group, but were later told they would be in a band.[5]

On December 6, Xdinary Heroes debuted with the single "Happy Death Day". The song debuted at number 12 on the Billboard World Digital Song Sales.[6]

2022: Hello, World! and Overload

On April 22, Xdinary Heroes hinted at their new album by uploading a teaser titled "Xdinary Heroes Awakening".[7] On June 27, they released a new video entitled "How to enjoy ♭form with Xdinary Heroes".[8] The next day, on June 28, Xdinary Heroes announced their debut extended play Hello, World!, scheduled for release on July 20.[9] In the following days, a contents scheduler and an instrumental sampler were uploaded.[10] On July 8–13, teaser images for each member were released, meanwhile, in July 14, the teaser images for the group were unveiled. On the same day as the EP release, the music video for the lead single "Test Me" was uploaded,[11][12] On August 9, the band released a music video for the B-side "Strawberry Cake".[13]

On September 16, the band announced their sophomore extended play Overload, to be released on November 4.[14] A month later, on October 17 and 18, the band released spoiler images hinting the concept of their upcoming EP. [15] The next day, on October 19, the group announced their first solo concert to be held on December 16-18.[16]
