Umar Usman Kadafur (born May 31, 1976 in Biu, Nigeria) is a Nigerian politician.[1] He is the 8th democratically elected Deputy Governor of Borno State.[2][3][4] Hon. Umar Usman Kadafur had his early education at Mbulamel Primary School, Biu. He thereafter proceeded to Government Science Secondary School Monguno to obtain his secondary school leaving certificate. Much later, he furthered his studies at University of Maiduguri, studied public administration.[5]

Acting Governor

The governor of Borno state, Prof. Babagana Zulum, wrote to the Borno State House of Assembly requesting approval to appoint Umar Kadafur as acting governor from April 29 to May 19, 2021. Kadafur as the acting governor for 21 days. In a letter dated April 26, 2021, the members of the state assembly accepted the governor's request.
