The Tianjin University of Science and Technology (Chinese: 天津科技大学; pinyin: Tiānjīn Kējì Dàxué) is a public university in Tianjin, China sponsored by the Tianjin Municipal Government.
The original campus is in Hexi district; previously it was well known with the name Tianjin Institute of Light Industry (Chinese: 天津轻工业学院; pinyin: Tiānjīn Qīnggōngyè Xuéyuàn). It is the first university to open a full-time campus in the Tianjin Economic-Technological Development Area (TEDA) and has the intention of moving the whole university to that campus. The university was formerly known as Tianjin Institute of Light Industry.
