Geography

History

Thuringowa Central was the central business district of the former City of Thuringowa before its amalgamation with the adjacent City of Townsville in 2008.
When Thuringowa was a city most visitors did not know the location of the city's centre, so in 2004 the Thuringowa city Mayor developed the city centre masterplan to complement the Riverway project.[5]
