The Suffering is a Big Finish Productions audiobook based on the long-running British science fiction television series Doctor Who.
The Companion Chronicles "talking books" are each narrated by one of the Doctor's companions and feature a second, guest-star voice along with music and sound effects.
Plot
In 1912, Vicki becomes embroiled in the Suffragette Movement and the Doctor and Steven investigate the Piltdown Man.

- This is the first Companion Chronicles story to span two CDs, rather than just one. This continues as a trend in every subsequent January Companion Chronicle release.
- It is also the first to have two companions performing (not counting The Mahogany Murderers.)
