The Hub Karen Mall is a premier shopping mall located in the leafy suburbs of Karen Nairobi catering to unique experiences and aims to trigger three of our five senses – Taste, Color and Sound all while placing importance on Real Estate in The Service of the Community.

The HUB Karen is all about experience – The Hub is an environment where you can spend the whole day with all your needs being under one roof; from fashion, to entertainment, to fine dining and beyond. The Hub hosts both local and international retailers all while supporting small businesses.

The Hub Karen has been developed over two phases, the first phase being a 35,000sqm gross area (excluding parking), featuring a retail, offices, medical, gym, kids play area, outdoor aerial activities such as zipline, abseiling, wall climbing, giant swing, leap of faith and airbag jump.

The Hub Karen mall was opened on February 4, 2016 with now over 85 stores.[1] and receives over 55,000 visitors per week.

Inside The Hub Karen

The Hub houses a 2,000m2 piazza and clock tower at the heart of the mall. The area is used for a range of activities, including travel exhibitions.[2] The Hub Karen mall is host to the first Carrefour Hypermarket opened in East Africa. Carrefour is a French retailer and the second largest hypermarket chain in the world. With operations across Europe, the Americas, Asia and Africa.[3]

It is also home to the first F&F branch in Africa.[4] F&F is the subsidiary of Tesco and is a UK fashion brand. Burger King opened its first restaurant in Kenya at The Hub in November 2016.[5]

The Hub Karen sustainability

The Hub Karen supports the local community through funding projects. It is involved with the Karengata Youth Soccer Association, the newly built community library and the local police force.[6]

In May 2017, The Hub Karen Mall announced it would install a 450KW solar power plant to generate power to cater for the entire day power needs of the mall.[7]
