The Acorn Newspapers is a group of award-winning weekly newspapers serving communities in Los Angeles and Ventura counties. There are currently five editions of the Acorn: The Acorn (covering Calabasas and Agoura Hills), Simi Valley Acorn, Moorpark Acorn, Camarillo Acorn and Thousand Oaks Acorn. The circulation for all Acorn newspapers is over 135,400 as of 2022. The owners and publishers are Jim and Lisa Rule of Newbury Park.[1] The newspaper group also includes the podcast Branching Out with the Acorn Newspapers[2] and the digital lifestyle magazine Beyond the Acorn.

The Acorn is a weekly newspaper based in Agoura Hills, California. It is published every Friday and appears online Thursday evening.[3] It covers Calabasas, Agoura Hills, Oak Park and Westlake Village. The circulation is 27,885 as of 2022.[4] Managing Editor John Loesing is The Acorn's editor.
Thousand Oaks Acorn
The Thousand Oaks Acorn is a weekly newspaper based in Thousand Oaks, California. It is published every Friday and appears online Thursday evening.[2] It covers Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park and the Thousand Oaks-portion of Westlake Village, CA. The newspaper's circulation is 38,381 as of 2022.[5] It was established in 1998.[6] Thousand Oaks Acorn was named the best source for local news by Thousand Oaks residents in a community survey undertaken by the city in 2009.[7] Kyle Jorrey is editor of the Thousand Oaks Acorn.
Camarillo Acorn
The Camarillo Acorn is a weekly newspaper based in Camarillo, California.[8] Established in 2006, the newspaper covers Camarillo, Santa Rosa Valley and Somis.[9] Daniel Wolowicz is the editor of the Camarillo Acorn.[10] It is published every Saturday and appears online Friday evening. The newspaper's circulation is 25,115 as of August 2022.
Moorpark Acorn
The Moorpark Acorn is a weekly newspaper which serves the City of Moorpark, California.[9] The newspaper was established in 2003. It is published every Saturday and appears online Friday evening. It has a circulation of circulation of 10,780 as of August 2022.[9] Like the Camarillo Acorn, it is edited by Daniel Wolowicz.[11]
Simi Valley Acorn
The Simi Valley Acorn is a weekly newspaper which serves the City of Simi Valley. The newspaper was established in 2004. It is published every Saturday and appears online Friday evening. It has a circulation of 33,290 as of August 2022. Sylvie Belmond is the editor of the Simi Valley Acorn.
