Teretrurus is a genus of nonvenomous shield tail snakes. Currently, 4 species are recognized.

Occurs in southern India in Wynaad, Travancore, the Manimuthar Hills, and Nyamakad - Teretrurus travancoricus (Beddome, 1886) – travancore earth snake
