When it was first established the Liberals ruled it for three years and then in 2004, the NDP claimed Panorama Ridge. Panorama Ridge is one of Surrey's low crime rate neighbourhoods. Panorama Ridge also has access to the major highway 10 taking you to Delta and Langley. Panorama is mainly new and has big houses. In 2009, the newly renamed district of Surrey-Panorama was created from Surrey-Panorama Ridge. MLA Jagrup Brar ran in the newly created district of Surrey-Fleetwood, which took much of the former Panorama Ridge district.
