Sudi Vaishya is a Trading community (Baniya community) based largely in Bihar and Jharkhand and terai(madhesh state of Nepal) Traditionally, They are engaged Mainly in Money lending (Shahukari) and Agri-business (Agriculture-related business like buying and selling of all agricultural produce, locally called Galla ka Kaam ) and Wholesaling and retailing of all type of FMCG (Fast moving consumer products ), clothes, Medicines etc.

Some are small and big land-holders also, engaged in self and Contract farming. But Most of the populations are based in the semi-uban and urban part of the state.
