Michael Oliver Tighe is an American singer/songwriter, guitarist and actor. He has worked with Jeff Buckley, Andrew Wyatt, Liam Gallagher, Mark Ronson, Adele, Del Water Gap, Bebe Rexha, Kimbra and others. Tighe's songs are represented by Concord (entertainment company).

Biography

Tighe was born and raised in New York City. As a teenager, he performed in many New York City Downtown theater and music productions, where he met Jeff Buckley.[1] He was drafted into Buckley's band as a guitarist and songwriter and toured with Jeff until the singer's untimely death. He co-wrote the song "So Real", as well as "Vancouver", "Moodswing Whiskey", "Demon John" and "The Sky Is a Landfill". "So Real" appears on Buckley's critically acclaimed album Grace which was voted one of the top 500 albums of all time by Rolling Stone magazine.

After Buckley's passing, Tighe recorded, toured and co-wrote with a number of indie bands in New York City. It was during this time that he met long-time collaborator Andrew Wyatt. In 2006, Tighe recorded a cover of the Britney Spears song "Toxic" with Mark Ronson under the alias Tiggers.The song features posthumously recorded verses from O.D.B. and was a minor hit in the United Kingdom; it was included on Ronson's 2007 album Version. Tighe toured with Ronson and The Version Players from 2007-2009.

In 2008, he played electric guitar on "Cold Shoulder" by Adele, a single on her Grammy winning debut album 19.

In 2017, after signing with Downtown Music Publishing, Tighe began collaborating with Liam Gallagher, Andrew Wyatt and Greg Kurstin, and co-wrote the singles "Wall Of Glass" "Paper Crown" and "Chinatown" on Gallagher's platinum selling debut solo album As You Were (Liam Gallagher album)

In 2021-2022, Bebe Rexha released the single Sabotage (Bebe Rexha song) written by Tighe, Michael Matosic, John Hume, Greg Kurstin and Bebe Rexha.

Tighe collaborated with Andrew Wyatt and Liam Gallagher on Gallagher's third studio album C'mon You Know and co-wrote "Diamond In The Dark" "Better Days" and "I'm Free".
