Marianne J. Kitany is former Chief of Staff to the Deputy President of Kenya, William Ruto.[1]

Before joining the Deputy President's Office, Kitany worked as the Information and Communications Technology Manager at the Kenya Railways Corporation. Prior to this, she also worked in a similar position at the Energy Regulatory Commission and Hamilton Harrison & Mathews Advocates as well as being a part-time lecturer at the Faculty of Information Technology at the Strathmore University.[1]

She was married to Franklin Linturi until 2019.[2]

During the 2022 elections, she vied for election to the 13th Parliament of Kenya from Aldai Constituency on a UDA ticket; and was elected.
