Konimex District

Konimex District is a district of Navoiy Region in Uzbekistan. The capital lies at the town Konimex.^[1] It has an area of 9,250 km² (3,570 sq mi)^[2] and its population is 36,200 (2021 est.).^[3] The district consists of 5 urban-type settlements (Konimex, Balaqaraq, Mamiqchi, Shoʻrtepa, Zafarobod) and 7 rural communities.^[1] Until 2018, when it became part of Konimex District, the town Zafarobod was part of the Gʻijduvon District (Bukhara Region).^[4]
