Joshua Ivan McLaurin (born January 17, 1988) is an American politician who was first elected to the Georgia House of Representatives in 2018. A member of the Democratic Party, he succeeded longtime incumbent Wendell Willard following a race in which the Georgia Republican Party falsely accused him of failing to meet candidate residency requirements.[1][2]
In 2022, following Donald Trump's endorsement of J. D. Vance for that year's Senate election in Ohio, McLaurin revealed screenshots that he and Vance had in 2016 showing that Vance referred to Trump as "America's Hitler".[3]
