The Joint Special Operations Command (Greek: Διακλαδική Διοίκηση Ειδικών Επιχειρήσεων, ΔΔΕΕ) is an inter-services command of the Armed Forces of Greece. Its purpose is the coordination of elite units of all three branches of the armed forces, with the aim of their best possible use. [1]

The JSOC was established in 2013 by ministerial decision of the then Minister of National Defence, Panos Panagiotopoulos, following the recommendation of the Council of Chiefs of General Staff.[2]

In 2021, as part of a major reorganization of the Greek special forces, it replaced the 13th Special Operations Command, and forms part of the Special Warfare Command and part of the 1st Infantry Division.

Emblem

The insignia of the Joint Special Operations Command, which was awarded on February 13, 2013, consists of three swords, symbolic of the three branches of the armed forces, behind which is a wreath. At the top of the coat of arms is written the saying "FEAR THE GREEKS".
