John H. Shen-Sampas (born December 23, 1983) is the literary executor for the estate of Jack Kerouac.[1] Since 2017, he has been, in partnership with the University of Massachusetts Lowell, preserving and archiving the entirety of Jack Kerouac's works and the history of the literary estate management.[2] His on-going effort to support the preservation of Kerouac's studies includes a donation of the most comprehensive archive on Kerouac to date and financial sponsorship in the archival work of the collection.[3]

Mr. Shen-Sampas, in addition, serves on the board of the Jack and Stella Kerouac Center for the Public Humanities to promote English Literature studies amongst the youth.[4] Furthermore, in conjunction with the University of Massachusetts Lowell, the Kerouac Society, founded by Mr. Shen-Sampas, runs Kerouac conferences by inviting English Literature scholars around the world to partake in all aspects of Kerouac's works.[5] Mr. Shen-Sampas has also been a champion for Kerouac’s artworks. Collaborating with Swiss art collector, Arminio Sciolli, Mr. Shen-Sampas published and exhibited a large swath of Kerouac’s paintings in Europe.[6]

An accomplished trial attorney, seasoned fixed-income investment manager and published physician researcher,[7][8] Mr. Shen-Sampas earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and M.B.A. from Columbia Business School. He is currently pursuing his M.D. studies at the UCSF School of Medicine.[9] Mr. Shen-Sampas received his B.S. in Applied Mathematics and M.S. in Operations Research from Columbia University.

Currently, he is residing in San Francisco, CA with his husband, Schuyler Bishop.
