Hawd Region

Hawd Region is a region of Somaliland. The Hawd Region was created by Somaliland's president, Dahir Riyale Kahin on May 15, 2008.[1]

It sits at a DMS latitude of 8° 0 min 0 sec and a DMS longitude of 46° 30 min 0 sec.[2] Its capital is the town of Baligubadle.

Hawd contains isaaqs and is part of the current somali galbeed which is in Ethiopia. Somaliland claims Hawd is part of them and will soon fight for independence from Ethiopia.
