On 31 March 2024, a 19-year-old Palestinian man stubbed three people in a mall in Gan Yavne. The victims, aged 34, 20, and 17, were in serious condition and rushed to Assuta Hospital where Lidor Levi one of the victims later died from his wounds. The attacker was shot dead at the scene by security officers.

Attack

On the evening of 31 March, a 19-year-old Palestinian man from near Hebron entered Gan Yavne's local mall, which he worked in. Witnesses reported he went to the gym and attacked two people, and later entered a coffee shop where he stabbed another victim. After stabbing three people, a security officer shot and killed the assailant.

The three victims included two young men and one teenage boy, they were in critical condition and were rushed to Assuta Hospital in Ashdod. One of the men, 34-years-old Lidor Levi, later died from his injuries. He was survived by his pregnant wife and six-month-old baby. The hospital reported the victims are suffering from brain injuries.

Perpetrator

The police identified the assailant as Mumeen Al-Khalil a 19-year-old man from Dura, a village near Hebron. The police stated the Al-Khalil previously had a work permit, which had been revoked. He worked illegally in the mall after he entered Israel through a hole in a security fence. Two Israeli Arabs, aged 30-40, were later arrested after they allegedly drove the attacker to Gan Yavne. They were interrogated and will be brought to court.
