Derince (Armenian: Քաղքիկ, romanizedKʻaghkʻik, Kurdish: Kehkik) is a village in the District of Sason, Batman Province, Turkey. As of 2011, it had a population of 1045 people.[1]

The village was previously known as Kaghkik, Sasun or Hin Sasun ("old Sasun" in Armenian).[2] It is located near the ancient fortresss of Sasun, also known in Armenian sources as Sasuntsi Davti Berd ("the fortress of David of Sassoun").[3]
