Chauncey Wright Griggs (December 31, 1832 – October 29, 1910) was an American businessman and politician.

Griggs was born in Tolland, Connecticut and went to Monson Academy in Wilbraham, Massachusetts. He moved to Minnesota in 1856 and settled in Chaska, Minnesota with his wife. Griggs was a merchant. Griggs served in the #rd Minnesota Infantry Regiment during the American Civil War and was commissioned a colonel. He served in the Minnesota House of Representatives in 1966 and in 1881 and 1882. He also served in the Minnesota Senate from 1867 to 1869 and from 1883 to 1886. Griggs was a Democrat.[1]
