Articles relating to the House of Babenberg, a noble dynasty of Austrian margraves and dukes. They ruled the Margraviate of Austria/Duchy of Austria from 976 to 1246. The founder was Leopold I, Margrave of Austria. They claimed descent from the Robertians, and were possibly also descendants of the Luitpoldings.
