Bestway Cement Limited (بیسٹ وے سیمنٹ لمیٹڈ) is a Pakistani building materials company which is a subsidiary of British company Bestway Group.[1] The company is based in Islamabad, Pakistan.

It was founded in 1993 and is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange.[1]

History

In September 2005, Bestway bid for 85.29 percent equity of Mustehkam Cement Limited under the Privatization Scheme and acquired the company for $70.0 million.[2]

In November 2013, the Mustehkam Cement was merged with Bestway Cement.[2]

In April 2015, the company acquired Lafarge Pakistan and its plant in Kallar Kahar, Chakwal, Punjab for US$329 million.[3]

In June 2018, the company expanded its capacity by 1.8 million tons.[4]

In May 2021, Bestway Cement announced it will establish greenfield plant in Mianwali having capacity of 7,200 tons. It will include a 9MW waste heat recovery plant.[5][6]
