Alexander Zanzer

Alexander Zanzer (born on February 11, 1965) is a Belgian diplomat, journalist, and social entrepreneur.[1] He is the co-founder producer of the Jewish News One channel,[2][3][4] and co-founder of the European Jewish Parliament.[5][6]

Early life and education

Zanzer holds a degree of License in Economics and Diplomatic Relations from the University of Antwerp. He completed his Master's in Business Administration from the University of Antwerp in 1991 and holds a PhD in developing economies.[7]

Career

Zanzer served as the Honorary Consul General of Mongolia to Belgium to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mongolia.[7] Zanzer became the general director of the Royal Society of Jewish Welfare as a moral prolongation of its founder, Nico Gunzburg who was an emigrated Jewish economist and diplomat.[8][9] Zanzer is the editor of Centrale magazine, a position he took up in 1999.[10]

Honors

In 2005, Zanzer was awarded the distinction of Knight in the Order of Leopold II by King Albert II of Belgium.[11] In 2006, he was awarded the Honored Medal by President Nambaryn Enkhbayar of Mongolia. In the same year, he was awarded the distinction of Officer in the Order of Leopold II by King Philip of Belgium.[11][12]
