Mir Abdul Rehman Khan Jamali (Urdu: میر عبدالرحمن خان جمالی) was a former Member of the National Assembly of Pakistan. He was the younger brother of the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Zafarullah Khan Jamali.[1][2][3] He was the nephew of Jafar Khan Jamali, an All-India Muslim League leader from Balochistan, who was involved in the Pakistan Movement. He was the uncle of Jan Mohammad Jamali, the current speaker of Balochistan Assembly.

Jamali had also been a member of the Senate from Balochistan. Twice he was elected as a member of the Provincial Assembly of Balochistan from PB-26 Jaffarabad.[1][4][5]

Background

He was born in Balochistan on February 6th 1948 and was educated in Aitchison college Lahore.A.R Jamali had six children and was married to Noor Khatoon at the age of 19. Their children from eldest to youngest were Lala Rukh Jamali, Riaz Khan Jamali, Hafeez Jamali, Mahgul Jamali, Zareen Jamali, and Hassan Jamali.He spent most of his life in his village, Rojhan Jamali, near the east coast of Balochistan. A.R Jamali was indeed of the Balochi decsent, and mostly spoke balochi, otherwise "saraiki". Unfortunately, he passed away before his time, in March 2016, and is buried in the mosque of "Sakhi-dur-Muhammad Jamali", the first Jamali, i.e 1856.His inheritance is divided among his six children.

A.R Jamali's eldest child, Lala Rukh Jamali. Lala Rukh was born on the 30th August 1971. She was educated in the "Islamabad College for Girls" in Islamabad. A few years after her education, she was married to Asim Mehmood, in 1996. She inherited 25% of her father's wealth. Today, she lives happily with her husband along with their child Parishey Asim. The second child, eldest son of A.R Jamali is Riaz Khan Jamali. Riaz was born on July 3rd,1972. He was educated in Aitchiston College in Lahore, and went to Australia after to complete his studies. After, he took responsibility of his father's property for a while.He has 5 children by the name of Wajeeha Jamali,Zoha Jamali,Samra Jamali,Bebrak Ali Jamali & ShahnoorJamali.He also has a high ranking position in Habibmetropolitan Bank
