The 2022/23 PDC World Darts Championship[1] (known for sponsorship reasons as the 2022/23 Cazoo[2] World Darts Championship) is the upcoming 30th World Championship organised by the Professional Darts Corporation since it separated from the British Darts Organisation. The event will take place at the Alexandra Palace in London from 15 December 2022–3 January 2023.[1]

Peter Wright is the defending champion, after defeating Michael Smith 7–5 in the 2022 final.[3]

Prize money

The prize money for the tournament is expected to remain at £2,500,000 in total – the same as the previous 4 years. The winner's share will be £500,000.[4]

Qualifiers

The top 32 from the PDC Order of Merit began the competition in the second round. The 32 highest ranked players on the PDC Pro Tour Order of Merit (not already qualified) and 32 qualifiers from around the world began in the first round.[5]

As of 30 October 2022, the provisional qualifiers are as follows:
  1. ^ China Premier League winner Zong Xiao Chen withdrew, due to COVID-19 pandemic regulations. His place was taken by the runner up.[6]
