The 2022 UK Championship (officially the 2022 Cazoo UK Championship) is an upcoming professional snooker tournament taking place from 12 to 20 November 2022 at the York Barbican, in York, England. The event is the fifth ranking event and the first of the Triple Crown Series in the 2022–23 snooker season. It will be sponsored by car retail company Cazoo and broadcast in the UK by the BBC and Eurosport.[1][2][3]

China's Zhao Xintong is the defending champion, having defeated Luca Brecel 10–5 in the 2021 UK Championship.[4]

The format of the tournament has been changed to identically match the format used by the World Snooker Championship, with the exception of match length. The top 16 players, including the defending champion, are to be seeded through to the final venue, where they will be joined by 16 qualifiers. The qualifying round takes place immediately before the televised stages.[5]
