List of Xhosa kings

The Xhosa are a nation from southern Africa. Xhosa, the one after whom the Xhosa people are named, fathered Malangana. The Xhosa kingship separated when the line got to Phalo because of what happened when he married.
The great house of Phalo is called Gcaleka at Nqadu Great Palace and is situated in Willowvale, Eastern Cape.
The right-hand house is called Rharhabe at Mngqesha Great Palace and is situated in Qonce, Eastern Cape.
The Rharhabe's house enjoyed autonomy for decades and was often referred to as the right-hand house, while the Gcaleka's house was referred to as the great house.

{▪This was the legendary King of AmaXhosa Nation during it's foundation and it's conception King Xolangana KaMabhudu was the one who would be later Known as u-Mxhosa oMhkulu the founder of his nation and the Kingship but that wasn't his real name though that he got from his father and mother because that name he got it from the Khosan people because he was very Aggressive in Nature and wasn't a patient man at time's so when he met them they were living in the same region that the modern day AmaGcalaka royal house is located where he later settled his people that he took from his from father while he was Alive who were back than known as AbaNguni people later to be known as AmaXhosa people using the name he got from the Khosan people which was later to be his praise name Aa!! Prince Tshawe KaNkosiyamntu became the newly installed King of AmaXhosa Nation way back in the late 1400's than to this day his descendents are still ruling the AmaXhosa Nation to this present=day After being put on the AmaXhosa Thorne by their neighboring companioun not by the royal house of AmaXhosa Kingdom or by the elders of the royal family▪}.

{▪ It was during KING PHALO'S REIGN that the AmaXhosa Royal house of the Nation officially established a Right-Hand House. When King Phalo kaTshiwo had to marry a wife that would produce an heir to the AmaXhosa throne of AmaTshawe Royal Clan, two royal brides showed up together on the very same day (One from {☆AmaMpondo royal family☆} & the other from {▪☆AbaThembu royal family☆▪} arrived on the same day. This caused a dilemma for the AmaXhosa King at the time this meant that if he chose either of them, the father of the unpicked bride would be offended.▪}
{▪ AmaXhosa elders and all the known wise men who knew the AmaXhosa laws & customs across the Xhosa land were summoned to Komkhulu (The great place - in the present day town of Butterworth) to solve this problem. It has been said in the AmaXhosa oral history his that, it was one old man by the name of Majeke who came with a solution to that problem. His solution was: "What is greater than the head of the king, and what is stronger than his right hand? Let the one be the head wife and the other the wife of the right hand". And that way, the problem was solved.▪}
{▪ King Phalo kaTshiwo produced two known sons: Prince Gcaleka kaPhalo and Prince Rharhabe kaPhalo. Prince Gcaleka kaPhalo would later become the King of the AmaXhosa Kingdom as a whole and Prince Rharhabe KaPhalo became the 1st King of the AmaRharhabe Kingdom which is King Phalo's{▪Right hand House▪} which is named After Him. Prior the arrival of the Europeans, the AmaXhosa territory stretched from Mbhashe River to Gamtoos River in the Southern Cape. The AmaGcaleka House which is the ruling house of the AmaXhosa Kingdom as a whole had jurisdiction from Mbhashe river to Kei river, and the AmaRharhabe House which is an independent house from the Gcaleka's was beyond the Kei River and extended beyond the Fish River.▪}
