DescriptionThe new Spine Road Bridge and the Thames and Severn Canal - geograph.org.uk - 1082577.jpg
English: The new Spine Road Bridge and the Thames & Severn Canal When the Cotswold Water Park Spine Road (now the B4696) was built 30/40 years ago, its construction blocked the Thames & Severn Canal at this point. This was a difficult obstacle to the long-term plan to restore the canal and re-open it to navigation. After many years of discussion and planning, this new bridge was opened in 2004 and its height will allow boats to pass under, as well as taking the towpath under the road.
