Summary

Description
English: Southgate county club According to the county club's own description, it was formed for the benefit of local residents in the 1920s, there presumably being no pub in existence. At the time Southgate was a peaceful agricultural area but during the 1950s sailors and dockers from Swansea started to frequent the club which as a result became known as The Bucket of Blood. All seems quiet again now and the club promotes itself as a friendly family venue for locals and visitors.
