Summary

Description
English: A graph containing the global temperature, as computed by the Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISTEMP3.1) plotted with the solar irradiance. The solar irradiance before 1978 is from a reconstruction (2007). "Reconstruction of solar total irradiance since 1700 from the surface magnetic flux". Astronomy & Astrophysics 467. and afterwards directly from satellite measurements done by the Physikalisch-Meteorologisches Observatorium. The graph shows that solar irradiance has not increased with the temperature since the mid-20th century. Credit NASA/JPL-Caltech
