English: Coromandel Marsh Dart Ceriagrion coromandelianum (female) is a medium sized pale green damselfly with yellow tail. Thorax is olive green above merging to yellow on sides, underside is white. Legs are yellow with black spines. Common along the banks of ponds, rivers and canals. Also found frequently far away from water bodies. Breeds in shallow water bodies with profuse growth of grass and other aquatic plants. Flies throughout the year and distributed throughout the Oriental region. Taken at Burdwan, West Bengal, India. |
