English: Castles of Munster: Clenagh, Clare Remote and isolated on a no-through minor road on the east side of the Fergus estuary, this C16 tower was first mentioned in the early C17 as being held by the MacMahon family. They held it until the mid-C18 when by that time it had become quite ruinous. |
