Porin Ässät ry is a Finnish organization that founded the Porin Ässät sports franchise. As of 11 October 2022, Porin Ässät ry owns 75,6% of HC Ässät Pori Oy, the company that currently owns the men's ice hockey team. Previously Ässät has had a football team and an esports team. Porin Ässät ry owns 100% of Patajunnuareena Oy, Pata Production Oy and the Astora Areena, an ice hockey arena in Pori, Finland.[1]

HC Ässät Pori Oy

HC Ässät Pori Oy was made into a seperate organization from Porin Ässät ry in 2000. Porin Ässät ry owns 75,6% of HC Ässät Pori Oy. HC Ässät Pori Oy owns the Porin Ässät men's ice hockey team and the Porin Ässät U20 team.[1] HC Ässät Pori Oy previously owned parts of the Isomäki Areena, an ice hockey arena in Pori, but sold it to the City of Pori because of financial troubles.[2]

Patajunnuareena Oy and Pata Production Oy

Patajunnuareena Oy is a company that Porin Ässät ry owns. Patajunnuareena Oy was founded in 2007 for the building and upkeeping of the Astora Areena, an ice hockey arena located next to the Isomäki Areena in Pori.

Pata Productions Oy is a company owned by Porin Ässät ry. Its purpose is to support Ässät's ice hockey junior teams. Pata Production Oy rents metal fence elements to event organizers of different sizes. In addition, the company rents metallic ladder elements. The money the company produces goes towards the junior teams. Pata Production Oy was founded in 2012.

Porin Ässät ry owns 100% of both of the companies.[1]

Sports

Men's ice hockey

Men's ice hockey team plays in the top-tier league of Finland, Liiga. Porin Ässät ry owns 75,6% of HC Ässät Pori Oy, the company that operates the team.[1] Ässät has won three Finnish championships (1971, 1978 and 2013)[3] Ässät plays its home games in the Isomäki Areena.

Women's ice hockey

Ässät played in Naisten SM-sarja from 1982 to 1995.[4] Now it is just an ice hockey school for women with the name Ässät Gold Stars.[5] Ässät Gold Stars is owned completely by Porin Ässät ry.

Football

Ässät played in the premier league of finland from 1968 to 1969.[6] They have won an U19 Finnish championship in 1970.[7][8]
